The initial scope of the new Liquid design in September is Microsoft Word and PowerPoint plus Desktop Wallpapers. This is where we start. In the coming months you will see the new designs rolled-out to our website, brochures, mailings, events, social media and much more. The aim is to have everything rebranded to the new liquid design mid of next year.
Yes, definitively! The new design was made to make your lives easier!
No, we will use a different imagery style that is describe in our Brand Portal. Images will always be used in natural colors without overlays. Also we will step by step say Good-bye to the “Dreiklang/Triad”.
It will be a soft launch, as the amount of valantic marketing material is so huge that it would have been impossible to change everything to the new design at once. Therefore, we will launch Microsoft Office Templates (Word, PowerPoint) first.
From September to end of December we are going to change our web-design, E-Mail templates and Social Media designs.
For very old material or material that has low download rates or visitor numbers will be re-designed later or in some cases not at all.
The new valantic Design system is called Liquid Design because it offers a great flexibility and is sort of fluid or “liquid” in the way how it can be used. It perfectly adopts to the different target groups we must address, from very conservative audiences in the M&A or Financial industry to very cool and fancy target groups in the CX or Fashion world. And: you might also meet a person from a financial institute that loves more expressive designs. So, you must make up your mind, how to present what you want to present to your individual target audience. There is no right or wrong: it’s pretty liquid!
If you look at our current Marketing assets, we already have several designs, which we use based on our Divisions and not based on what the target group expects from us: the FSA, CX and SAP/SMI/DS&A Website areas look pretty differently today.
The new Liquid design will change this concept: Instead of presenting our internal organizational structure to the outside world (thinking “inside out”), our emphasis will be on truly focusing on the needs and expectations of our target groups (thinking “outside in”), thus building One Firm – One Brand with One Design.
The Liquid Design will help us use our communication channels more effectively to address our specific target groups in a truly consistent and recognizable way. But now, while also creating a new overall brand consistency, our new Design will give us immense flexibility as well, as it will offer three different design routes: A, B and C, which we will use in every division based on the people we talk and present to. Or based on the occasions we communicate for: e.g., events and fairs will always be more dynamic and expressive, while product documentations or invoices should be more formal, restrained and informative.
Always ask yourself: Who am I speaking to? Who is my target audience? What is the context of my communication?
Design Route A will be more restrained, elegant, and informative.
It will be used for…
Design Route B will be more self-confident, activating and human. It will be similar to our current valantic Design, but face-lifted and fresher.
We will use it for…
Design Route C will be more dynamic, present, and expressive.
We will use it for…
Yes. We will regularly update our Design files, e.g., add new imagery or slide templates etc. Also, we will fix bugs and make improvements – please send your suggestions to brand-design@muc.valantic.com.
The following Marketing assets below plus several Guides, Tutorials, Training & Support session timetables are available for you in one zip-file (319 MB).
You can find the Material
All further material will be step by step rolled out via the Brand Portal. All Marketing People will be informed continuously via the GPM Teams channel and our GPM calls.
In principle, everyone at valantic – be it in valantic-branded Competence Centers (e.g., valantic BA, valantic CEC, etc.) or non-branded Competence Centers (e.g. elements, netz98 etc.) – do have access to the new material via the Marketing Portal and the Brand Portal.
We will roll out further templates and designs for further touchpoints continuously. We will keep the marketing teams informed via our standard communication channel – the GPM teams channel. Everything we have so far rolled out you will find in the Brand Portal.
If you can’t find something that it is probably because it does not exist, yet.
No, please don’t do that. And also please don’t do briefings to your external graphical support yet.
It is absolutely important that we avoid designs taking on a life of their own or watering down the design.
The whole brand design project became necessary because designs were interpreted differently and independently by teams and competence centers. We do not want to repeat this mistake under any circumstances.
Please support us consistently on this point, because the success of the entire valantic brand for all competence centers, teams and divisions depends on us working together as one. That is why we have to be so strict here.
We are now a respected company and have to present ourselves in a correspondingly professional manner. And remember we are One Firm – therefore we use one Design (System).
We can only roll out the templates and designs one by one, because we are a very small team compared to the complexity of the project (divisions, CCs, Culture of Cultures). And on the other hand, we don’t want to hold back what we already have. Therefore, we proceed touchpoint by touchpoint.
Until then, you can continue to use the existing design in your current style.
But this also means that there will be some breaks during the transit phase from the old to the new design. Please understand this.
Our goal is to build a good and detailed style guide, definitions and examples for all touchpoints. There will also be training for designers and you marketing people. And we want to build a permanent graphic support for all CCs. When we are ready, you will be able to act more freely and independently.
But this will take a while – we keep you informed via our GPM Teams Channel and GPM Calls.
The communication on September 15th, 2023, will be split in two parts, divided by valantic-branded and non-branded Competence Centers.
It’s up to you to make the new design system a success! All you need to do is take the following three steps:
The zip-file (319 MB) contains:
Power Point
Desktop Wallpapers & Teams Backgrounds
Training Documents
Word Documents will be rolled-out individually in every Competence Center via your individual IT- or Marketing department, as the use of Document Classifications, Company Data like Tax ID, Address Headers, and Imprints is very particular in every Competence Center. So, we have taken a decentral approach here.
New Word Templates are

The Brand Portal is focusing on valantic Marketing People, external and internal Graphical Designers and external Agencies & Partners and explains in detail, how to use the new designs in a “Corporate Design-style guide” manner.
It contains all important marketing assets like logos, fonts, colors, shapes and also all Microsoft Office Templates. It will contain less ready-to-use” assets and is made more for our Marketing people that want to know how to work with our brand assets. In the future it will also contain style guides for our Websites, Mailing-Templates, Event Booths and much more. The Brand Portal will be regularly updated.
The Marketing Portal is focusing on valantic internal people.
It mainly contains ready-to use Marketing material like Microsoft Office templates etc. You do not have be a Designer to use these assets. It contains also many more material like, our collaterals and whitepaper library, our image world etc.
The Marketing Portal will be your central point to go to if you want to download a new company presentation or PowerPoint-Chart Pools etc. The Marketing Portal will be regularly updated.
