Imagery Guidelines

  • Faces and people attract the viewer’s gaze – that’s why we mainly use images that show people.
  • The people depicted represent our target group, our teams or show people in the environment of our target industries.
  • We use portraits as well as snapshots.
  • We show people using our solutions or technologies or the results of these.
  • We always use high-quality images with a natural, warm ambience (light and color).
  • We avoid “flat” motifs and clichés.
  • We prefer images that form an overall harmonious tonality.
  • We pay attention to a diverse and inclusive social image.

A natural effect corresponds to the brand values and conveys accessibility and partnership.

Tips for your image search

Maybe you didn’t find an image in our image library (link) that suits your needs and now have to search for one yourself? Here are a few tips to help you find a suitable image that fulfills our technical design requirements:

  • Photos should have a relatively large amount of space surrounding the protagonist(s).
  • An image with centered composition is ideal.
  • Optimally placing an image with a single person is easier than for one with a group.
  • The image should have a blurred, calm background.
  • Warm colors are more appealing.
  • The photo’s background should contrast with the selected Mode – i.e. an image with a light background should be chosen if Dark Mode is being used, and an image with a dark background if Light Mode is being used.

It is easier to find an image that esthetically fits the wavy form at the bottom of the valantic Shape than one that fits the convex curves at the top.

Image Extension

Image extention is achieved with the help of auxiliary lines, which are divided into three horizontally and vertically.

  • Horizontally, the motif should sit within the centre lines.
  • Vertically, the main motif (the head) should be in the upper third.

Tips: Photos with individual people work best – they always work, in all lines.

Route A also works with smaller groups, where the heads sit as horizontally as possible on one level.

Route B requires the pictures to be positioned within the above-mentioned position. Otherwise it can happen that both heads of two people in the circle are cut off.

Route C also works for smaller groups, where the heads are positioned as horizontally as possible on one level.
